TAPETCO — Fueling Your Flights

From October 12 to 19, 2026, Tan Son Nhat Petrol Commercial Joint Stock Company (TAPETCO), in collaboration with Long Thanh Aviation Fuel Services Branch (LTAFS), under Airports Corporation of Vietnam – JSC (ACV), conducted an aviation fueling operations training program for 25 LTAFS personnel. The program aimed to support workforce preparation for future operations at Long Thanh International Airport.

Bridging Technical Knowledge and Practical Operations

The training program was delivered directly by TAPETCO's experienced personnel, drawing on their extensive hands-on expertise in aircraft fueling operations.

Through a combination of technical instruction and practical demonstrations, LTAFS trainees gained firsthand exposure to the fueling systems, vehicles, and equipment currently used in TAPETCO's daily operations.

The training covered four key areas:

Fueling Systems and Technologies: Introduction to the airport hydrant fueling system, including the operating principles and fueling technologies of Hydrant Dispensers (HD) and Refueler Trucks (RF).

Equipment Inspection and Operation: Guidance on technical inspections, vehicle operation, and the proper handling of aircraft fueling equipment.

Fuel Quality Control: Introduction to fuel inspection, monitoring, and quality control procedures to maintain aviation fuel quality.

Fueling Procedures and Operational Safety: Practical instruction on aircraft fueling procedures, identification of potential operational abnormalities, and appropriate responses to unexpected situations during fueling operations.

Strengthening Operational Competence Through Hands-on Training

A key highlight of the program was the opportunity for trainees to participate in practical sessions using TAPETCO's operational fueling systems and equipment.

Under the guidance of experienced TAPETCO personnel, LTAFS trainees observed, learned, and practiced essential operational procedures, ranging from equipment inspections and system operation to compliance with safety requirements and fuel quality control standards.

By integrating technical knowledge with practical operational experience, the program helped participants strengthen their professional skills, enhance safety awareness, and become familiar with the requirements of aircraft fueling operations.
